Introduction
The players approach the stump and lift their axes in preparation.
Gameplay
Players try to be the first to split the log that Whittle puts on the trunk in half by quickly moving the Wii Remote. Occasionally, the Whittle may put a Bob-omb on the stump instead of a log, and players must press to duck. Failing to do so or chopping the Bob-omb results in players being stunned for the next round. The first player to get three points wins.
In Perspective Mode, the player is viewing the minigame from behind their character.
