"[[Koopa Troopas]] bear more resemblance to real-world tortoises than they do turtles. For example, they seem to be land-based, having no real affinity for water and lacking webbing, and the rounder, less streamlined shape of their shells more closely resembles tortoises. It should also be noted that the Koopa Troopas' ability to remove their shells is not true to actual turtles or tortoises."

No last names? or is that a lame excuse for Mario not to be named "Mario Mario"

I am a all time Mario fan!!! so now you can see, i love Mario and all its characters! Mario is probably the best video game series ever made, at least that's what I think.

I love quizzing my friends with Mario history questions, which I usually stump them on. And have you ever noticed that there's these pictures behind the the editing page? I just think its weird.

I don't like this fact much about Luigi, but you'll probably be interested in it:

"Luigi has been known to cross-dress three times. The first time was in Super Mario Adventure, second in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and third was (implied) in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door."

Why doesn't Mario ever do that? Anyway, that fact can be found on Luigi's page.

Here's more facts:

"Although the Goomba and Paragoomba look nearly identical, the average Goomba has a higher voice based on voice clips in the Mario Baseball series."

"Koopa Troopas bear more resemblance to real-world tortoises than they do turtles. For example, they seem to be land-based, having no real affinity for water and lacking webbing, and the rounder, less streamlined shape of their shells more closely resembles tortoises. It should also be noted that the Koopa Troopas' ability to remove their shells is not true to actual turtles or tortoises."

"Mario's full name is given as "Mario Mario" in the Super Mario Bros. movie. In a few isolated cases, this has leaked into the game continuity - for instance, the Prima Edition of the Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Guide book lists to the characters as Mario Mario and Luigi as Luigi Mario. However, Nintendo of America has stated that 'there are no last names.'"
