The Black Dog is one of the eight items (nine if the Smile counts) that can be purchased from the Item Shop in the Game Boy Advance game Wario Land 4. The Black Dog, like all the other items, can be purchased from the shop keeper Mr. Game & Watch, to help Wario defeat a challenging boss by doing pre-damage at the battles start.
It is one of the stronger items in the game, and it costs 10 Frog Medals to purchase. Depending on the game mode, it may cost more.
Effect
When purchased, Mr. Game & Watch will follow the player to the Boss Room. He will then transform into a black dog with a fairly large jaw, and bite the Boss, causing 9 HP worth of damage. After the damage is done, Mr. Game & Watch will then dissapear, leaving Wario to fight a greatly weakened boss.
