Look Away is a 1-vs-3 mini-game in Mario Party 2. Each participant is just a head. After a short jingle plays, the single player must look either up, down, left, right, or straight ahead, accomplished by pushing in a given direction or not at all. Using the same controls, the team of three must avoid looking in the same direction as the single player.
If one of the team of three looks in the same direction as the single player, his or her head shrinks, and an "X" appears above it. This player is then disqualified. It is possible for more than one player to lose in a given round. The game ends either when the team of three loses, or if one or more members of said team is still in the game after five rounds. If the single player wins, he or she dances (that is, the head bobs from side to side), and the team frowns below while spinning shrinking. If the team of three wins, they dance, and the single player's head spins, shrinks, and disappears.
In the Mini-Game Coaster, the lone human player always plays against the team of three. To win, the human player has to disqualify all three opposing players.
