Archer-ival is a 1-vs-3 mini-game in Mario Party 2.
Gameplay
The main objective for the player with the bow and arrow is to shoot down the characters' panels. Once the solo player has knocked down all three players' pictures before the thirty seconds are over, they win. They can also earn some extra coins by hitting the other pictures thrown in as well. The Toad panel gives them one coin, the Boo panel pictures give them two coins, and the Baby Bowser panel give them three coins. The solo player has unlimited arrows, yet they have thirty seconds to complete the task in order to win.
The three players main objective is to dodge to the arrows shot by the solo character. In order for them to win, at least one of them will need to remain standing by the end of the thirty seconds. Each panel moves at a slow pace, yet it is enough to avoid an arrow being shot directly at them. The non-playable panels though can block their path, causing them to be a still target for the solo character.
In the Mini-Game Coaster, the human player plays against the team of three.
Trivia
- The name "Archer-ival" in a pun on "archer" and "archrival."
