Template:Articleabout Template:Kart-infobox The Shooting Star is Mario's second original kart in Mario Kart DS. It is a small kart that resembles a comet. The front is shaped like a yellow star and a yellow zigzag behind where the player sits. It has an average speed, handling, and drift. It shows moreover a low weight and selection of items, along with high acceleration. To unlock it, the player has to get a gold trophy on every cup in Nitro Grand Prix on 100cc, just like the other unlockable karts. It is also the lightest kart, meaning that any kart can knock it out.
