- At E3 2011, Nintendo confirmed Luigi's Mansion 2 and Super Mario 3D for the Nintendo 3DS, New Super Mario Bros. Mii for the Wii U, a new Super Smash Bros. for both of them, Mario Party 9 and Fortune Street was also announced for the Wii.
- Nintendo has announced Wii U (pictured).
- Super Mario Land was released on the 3DS Virtual Console in North America on June 6 and June 7 in Japan, Europe, and Australia.
