Big Bungee Piranha

Big Bungee Piranha after biting on a chomp rock; its main weakness.

Big Bungee Piranha is the boss of World 2 of Yoshi's Island DS. It is a giant, purple Bungee Piranha Plant that hangs from the ceiling with a couple of Bungee Buds. He will attack by trying to bite Yoshi. The only way to defeat it is to make a bunch of Yoshi Eggs then jump onto the giant Chomp Rock and wait until it lungs down to devour Yoshi. When he comes down, Yoshi must jump down the rock and the Big Bungee Piranha will crack his teeths after biting the Chomp Rock . He will start to howl in pain and showing his weak spot, his tongue. Yoshi can now have a chance to shoot Big Bungee Piranha's tongue with an egg. Yoshi must do that two more times to defeat him. If Yoshi misses the bungee piranha will go back up and heal himself. He is shown with three spots and is accompanied by two Bungee Buds.Big Bungee Piranha somewhat resembles and may have replaced Naval Piranha from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Trivia

• This Piranha Plant resembles the Prickly Piranha Plant from Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
• When the player enters the room, the floor and ceiling are already covered in large spiny Piranha vines. This means that this may be some kind of a nursery for the rest of the Piranha Plants in the area. It could also be an error, as Kamek did not increase the size of the Bungee Piranha until after Yoshi arrived.
