Why is it now "checkpoint flag"? I think it was best suited as checkpoint or midway point, because now, it's only referring to NSMB and it's sequel, and SMG2. And I'm sure several other games have 'checkpoints' as well. And now it's gone. =S[[User:Wiiboy4ever|Wiiboy4ever]] 17:29, 26 May 2011 (EDT) | |||

Uhm, this seems quite similar to Midway Gate. Is "Midway Point" an official name? Time Questions 04:30, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- A Midway Gate is a type of Midway Point. A Midway Point is a video game term - I will look into its official-ness as a Mario term. -- Son of Suns
- No...it should remain with information, as a midway point in Super Mario Bros. is different than a Midway Gate in Super Mario World (which is a midway point). The midway point is a term, while a midway gate is an object. -- Son of Suns
- I do not remember there even being any kind of checkpoint in the first Super Mario Bros. 09MurphyM 15:42, 29 May 2010 (EDT)
