Hi! Sorry I took SO long to reply. I currently have 106 stars in SMG2. I think you just get those items in Starship Mario at random. I know I didn't get some of them as soon as I used them for the first time... Fawfulfury65

It only took me three tries, although I didn't try beating Bowser X until I got to level 50, so I was pretty prepared when I fought him. Did you beat SMG2 100%, or did you just beat Bowser? I heard the Grandmaster Galaxy was hard, but I didn't get there yet. The Green Star hunts are so insanely boring!! Also, thank you for congratulating me! Fawfulfury65

Well, at least its not like the Grand Finale Galaxy in SMG. There's pretty much no way to die at all there. You just run around the area and collect Purple Coins. Fawfulfury65
