Bluebirds are creatures wearing blue bird costumes who serve as bodyguards to Valentina in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. Mario and co. encounter these creatures inside the palace at Nimbus Land. In battle, they can utilize ice based attacks like Crystal and Blizzard and have high magic defense, so magic attacks do not hurt them much. They can easily resist ice and sleep attacks, but are weak against fire attacks. They also have relatives called Birdies who have better physical stats, but lower magic stats as well as reversed strength and weaknesses. If they are hit by a physical attack, they might get confused, therefore attacking themselves or their allies.
