Seizer[1] is the fifth and ninth boss fought by Toad in Game B of Round Mode in the Famicom/NES version of Wario's Woods. Seizer is a skeleton who wears a hooded robe and carries a book.

History[edit]

Wario's Woods[edit]

Seizer appears during the 49th round and has 14 HP. He can cause two complete rows of enemies to fall at once. Like other bosses, Seizer can throw enemies and teleport around. If Seizer teleports on Toad, the latter is defeated instantly.

Super Mario (KC Deluxe)[edit]

Seizer appears in two chapters of the Wario's Woods adaptation in the Super Mario Kodansha manga. He is summoned with Boom and Mad by Fauster, after regaining some of his powers with Wario sacrificing Baby Luigi to him. Seizer immediately starts targeting the heroes and summons Goro to squash them, but the heroes manage to defeat him. After the heroes split up, Birdo encounters Seizer. Feeling disturbed by his skeleton, Birdo throws her bomb bag and swings her tail at Seizer, breaking his bones and killing him. Before continuing on her path, Birdo makes a puzzle with his pieces.

Super Mario-kun[edit]

Seizer appears in Super Mario-kun volume 12 as the main antagonist of chapter 12. Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Birdo, and Wanda are separated after an avalanche in the snowy region of Wario's Woods. Toad, all alone and scared, trips on Seizer's skull, awakening him. He presents himself as Wario's herbalist, lost in the snow while looking for some herbs for his master and died due to the cold (with even his monster minions being reduced to bones). When Seizer explains he was looking for mushroom powder, Toad flees, but gets trapped after Seizer tossed his skeleton onto him, but Yoshi emerges from the snow munching on the bones, leaving only his skull. Seizer then freezes Yoshi and curses Toad by making him see things much scarier than in reality and when he goes for the kill, Yoshi, still frozen, takes a magic bullet for Toad. Seeing this, Toad decides to face his fears, and his courage grants him an invincible sword which he uses to defeat Seizer.
