- Added support for racing against players from around the world via multiplayer. This service is scheduled to become available on March 8th, at 8:00 PM PT.
- Added a camera feature. Using this feature during a race allows you to freely move the camera around your driver as they automatically steer. Use it to view the action from different angles!
- Made other adjustments and addressed known issues to improve the overall gameplay experience.
- Specific/unlisted changes
- The startup screen and the game icon have been changed to a scene featuring Peach and Mario racing against each other.
- The Multiplayer button icon is added in the main screen.
- The pre- and post-race screens have been adjusted.
- Base points and level information for each driver, kart, and glider is now displayed on the “Ready to Race!” screen. When playing single player, you can tap on the base points or level to use boost tickets. This feature cannot be used in multiplayer or bonus challenges.
- The bonus-points boost is now displayed on the results screen. When a bonus-points boost is applied to a driver, kart, or glider, their level will light up.
- The player can earn a "NONSTOP COMBO!" if a player maintains an unbroken combo between the Rocket Start and the end of the race, and is displayed when finishing a race. It is also displayed on the results screen.
- In the results screen, points flash when the player reaches a high score.
- The "Got it!" screen for a Grand Star is no longer played when acquiring them. It still plays when redeeming with star tickets, however.
- This resulted the prompt for claiming coins from accrued Grand Stars to not appear after the last tour gift is obtained.
- The icons (shop, spotlight, special offer, Gold Gift) are also displayed for the unlocked drivers, karts, and gliders.
- The multiplayer icon is altered to a group of Toads.
- The experience points are no longer given to drivers, karts and gliders whose base points are maxed out, as a consequence, a single driver, kart or glider can acquire up to 450 experience points per day and the player is now warned when 90 or less experience points are left to be gained in the day.
- When tapping the driver before the race countdown starts, the driver performs a brief animation.
- Red Koopa (Freerunning) and Gold Koopa (Freerunning) now make a sound when they are selected.
- In Combo Attack bonus challenges, points are no longer given to actions during the challenge.
- The Friends list now displays friends' ranking tier alongside their badge.
- During a Bob-omb or Double Bob-omb frenzy, the Bob-ombs that get thrown no longer explode instantly once they hit the ground.
- The player no longer stay in the effects of the Mega Mushroom when activating a Frenzy, and shrinks down to normal size.
- Competitors' ranking scores at the start of a ranked cup are displayed as "???" instead of "0".
- The confirmation screen for launching a pipe is different, and features a large, flashing button that the player taps to confirm.

- The points-cap ticket has been added, it's used to increase the base points cap.
- Drivers, karts, and gliders that have reached their base points cap is indicated by the word LOCKED.
- Support has been added for player level 100 and beyond.
- When a driver, kart, or glider that the player owns appears in the Daily Selects, the number of duplicates needed to level them up is displayed.
- The levels and base-points of the drivers, karts, and gliders that opponents have used for their scores in the ranked cup is displayed.
- In addition, the label showing the tier of the driver, kart, and glider in the course appears above the respective icons, for all the records obtained after the update to version 2.1.0.
- The buttons for Standard Race and Gold Race are adjusted.
- The notification bar on the main screen scrolls faster.
- A new sound effect is added when the player achieves a "NONSTOP COMBO!" race.
- In rulesets with less than 3 item slots in multiplayer, the action of hitting an opponent with a Super Star displays "Super Star strike!" rather than "Frenzy strike!" (as Frenzy mode do not occur in this ruleset).
- All the courses and bonus challenge of each cup are unlocked as soon as the cup is unlocked.
- A special sound effect is played when obtaining the last Grand Star from a race or a bonus challenge
- Gold Challenges can be achieved when the player is not subscribed to the Gold Pass. As soon as the player subscribes to it, they will receive the awards for achieving them.

- The bottom of the screen features button icons for Multiplayer, Challenges, Tour Gifts, Shop, and Menu.
- Instead of the scrolling notification bar on the top of the screen, the notifications are displayed for the bottom buttons as pop-up bubbles with information regarding multiplayer, new Daily Challenges, new pipes, and updates to the Daily Selects.
- The Challenges screen now contains a Daily Challenges page.
- All challenges (except the Daily Challenges) now display a progress bar, including completed challenges and Gold Pass challenges for non-subscribers.
- Added a setting to turn on/off the Steer or Drift button displayed during races.
- There is a new Restart Race button in the in-race menu, which is exclusive to single player races and challenges.
- Gold Pass subscribers have the daily coin cap lifted from 300 to 600, and daily base points XP cap from 450 to 900.
- Tickets in the Daily Selects section of the shop now have a "1" displayed in the lower right-hand corner, indicating 1 ticket.
- The number of rule sets in rotation has been increased from three to four for Standard Races and four to five for Gold Races.
- Gold Race rule sets may now include teams.
- Players can invite their friends to a multiplayer room that they have created.
- Added support for an All-Cup Ranking feature.
- The timing of the warning when the player is targeted by a Red Shell, Yoshi's Egg, or Birdo's Egg has been adjusted so that it appears sightly earlier than before.
- During a Frenzy of an item that can be thrown forward or backward, the player changes the default direction once they perform a throw in the other direction.
- Grand Stars now twinkle when the player collects a new Grand Star in a race or bonus challenge.
- The prompt for claiming coins from accrued Grand Stars now reappear after the last tour gift is obtained.

- A driver's special skill can now be improved when their level is increased.
- When a driver, kart, or glider is leveled up, a number of their favored courses are upgraded to favorite courses.
- Auto mode has been added, which lets users watch drivers automatically drive through courses as well as share screenshots via other applications.

- Races are scored on a scale of 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1, with players being ranked between races and at the end of the match.
- Friendly fire can now be turned on in team multiplayer rooms, allowing thrown items to target any player, regardless of team.
- The Tips & Tricks menu can now be accessed from the driver, kart, and glider selection screen when choosing a course.
- In addition, many of these tips have been rewritten and given updated images.
- The dots that show the amount of pipes and packs there are on the main menu have been changed from solid white to flashing red and white.
- Each dot will only revert to solid white after the corresponding banner is opened by the player.
- The course map is now visible in races during a Team Rally.
- Opening a friend's profile will gift the player all uncollected Greeting Coins from that friend, removing the need to close and reopen the friend list to collect multiple days' worth of coins.
- The shop icon now shows up on items that appear in the Token Shop and Tier Shop.

- When opening a friend's profile from the Friend Ranking screen, a different profile than the one intended may be displayed.
- When using the Super Bell or Super Bell+ in multiplayer, the displayed Super Bell item disappears if the kart comes in contact with an opponent. Afterwards, the effects of the Super Bell will remain active, but its bonus points do not get counted.
- If the play data reflects that a player had not logged in between Version 2.6.0 and Version 2.6.2, the corresponding player may not be able to complete downloading the new data and will not be able to log in.
- If the automatic renewal for the Gold Pass fails, it may prevent the player from subscribing to the Gold Pass again.

- Support for older Android devices with a 32-bit CPU, as well as those using 64-bit CPU but running Android in 32-bit mode, has been removed.
- The event token count has been moved to the top of the screen, between the coin count and the ruby count.
- Star tickets can now be used to unlock free pipe pulls directly.
- Tour gifts for first-time players have been upgraded. The tutorials when playing in a cup for the first time and when clearing a course have also been revamped.
- In single-player team races (in that case, races during a Team Rally), the teammates racing behind the player no longer throw items forward.
- Issues regarding Today's Challenge have been fixed.
- Prior to this update, if the pre-selected driver had not yet been unlocked, their special item would not have been obtainable during the race, despite it being visible in the item roulette. This was fixed to make them obtainable.
- An animation of Grand Stars being decreased from the tour gifts' required Grand Stars count was added.
- Prior to this update, the first set of bananas from a Triple Banana frenzy disappear after the second set is thrown. In this update, the first set disappear after the sixth set is thrown.
- The special dash animation on the Kamek's Zoom Broom kart has been fixed.

- The race results screen has been updated with three buttons below the statistics: a "Try again" button which will restart the race with the same opponents but their Starting Line positions being rearranged (unless the player is playing a Today's Challenge race), an "X" button which will take players back to the menu, and a "Next" button which will take players to the next race or bonus challenge (unless they are on the results screen after completing the bonus challenge in the latest unlocked cup or final cup).
- Player level cap has been increased from 300 to 400.
