I haven't checked this out in other languages, but I notice that the Theet/Sparkla characters are referred to as they or them in a few lines. It confused me at first because I thought it was referring to an individual, but eventually I realized what was going on. In fact, I'm pretty sure gender pronouns are missing except when referring to Peach and the Sour Bunch. I guess we do the same? Unless I'm missing something here. :In regards to the Theet species, they are in plural, so "they" would without any doubt at all be the fitting term. As far as individual Theets go, ''that'' part I agree would be an open question: Every single Theet in the entire game (except a handful of Sparklas) are male, or at the very least (to use modern terms) male-coded, and would (im)plausibly be referred to ''as individuals'' as he/him. But for Theets in plural? Pressure on "plural"? They/them. Because that's how plural tense works. They?[edit]
- In regards to the Theet species, they are in plural, so "they" would without any doubt at all be the fitting term. As far as individual Theets go, that part I agree would be an open question: Every single Theet in the entire game (except a handful of Sparklas) are male, or at the very least (to use modern terms) male-coded, and would (im)plausibly be referred to as individuals as he/him. But for Theets in plural? Pressure on "plural"? They/them. Because that's how plural tense works. DandelionSprout (talk) 05:40, June 13, 2024 (EDT)
