| A '''Katakata Yarihō''' is a pink [[Shy Guy (toy)|Shy Guy]] that appears in ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong]]''. It is usually sleeping on a platform. Whenever [[Mario]] jumps on the same platform, the Katakata Yarihō awakens and quickly runs toward Mario. However, if a [[Mini Mario (toy)|Mini-Mario]] jumps onto the platform, the Katakata Yarihō will not be awoken. Whenever a Katakata Yarihō reaches the end of the platform they are on, they will sit down and fall back asleep. Katakata Yarihō constantly hold spears pointing upward whether they are asleep or awake, in the same manner as a [[Spear Guy]]; therefore, attempting to jump on top of the enemy will cause Mario to lose a [[Extra life|life]].
