In the Blue Shell (Not a MKI) article it has a section of the Blue Shell (Mario Kart Item) but the Blue Shell (Mario Kart Item) has it own page O rly. Grapes

Shouldn't this be MERGED with Spiny shell? I mean they're practically the same besides this one has wings and is blue. Boo der dash

Weird Phenomenon In Mario Kart Wii

When I race and I am in 1st place, especially Wi-Fi, sometimes I get a Mushroom from an item box. Seconds later, a Blue Spiny Shell comes ready to kill me. A well-timed use of the Mushroom is pretty much the only way to escape the explosion unharmed, as mentioned in the article. Title Change

Shouldn't we set the title of the Mario Kart shell as "Spiny Shell" and the other one "Spiny Shell (???)" ? The first is way more popular, so it shouldn't have brackets. But it's hard to give a proper title to the seconde one...

It may appear more often, but when someone says "Spiny Shell" 90% think about the Mario Kart one. The Spiny's shell appearances besides Paper Mario and Mario Strikers games are very minor : they are just worn by Spinies. Plus, the Mario Kart Spiny Shell has a longer article, but this might not mean it's more popular.

I think it might be possible to destroy a blue shell with a green shell. I was playing Mario Kart 8 one time, and I saw a green shell fly into the back of a blue shell as it was going by and destroy it. Could someone please try this? --Reversalmushroom (talk) 06:15, 29 April 2015 (EDT)

Does anyone know what happens in battle mode if two players on the same team are tied for the highest number of points and a blue shell is fired towards them?

Name from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update information

I just noticed that the update information for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe refers to this item as "Blue Shell". I'm not sure what to make of this.
