Area | Gloomy Manor |
The Parlor (Parlour in the British English version) is a room in the Gloomy Manor in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. This area is accessed by taking the bottom door in the Master Hall. The most notable features are the phonograph in the center of the room and the grandfather clock that displays the time that the Nintendo 3DS's internal clock has been set to. Several paintings adorn the wall, one of which can be removed to reveal several coins, bills, and Gold Bars. The ceiling fan can be vacuumed to lower the ceiling and reveal a stash of coins, bills, and gold bars. There is a fireplace that acts as a secret passage to the Lab.
During Gear Up, Luigi needs to go to the Parlor in order to find one of the Slammers that stole a gear from the mechanism in the Foyer. The ceiling fan will only release money during this mission as well. In Visual Tricks, Luigi has to utilize the secret entrance to the Lab via the fireplace in the Parlor. In Sticky Situation, the Parlor may be one of the rooms covered in spider webs. In Gradual Infiltration, the Parlor may be one of the rooms ghosts may appear in.
Starting from Gear Up, the player can use the Strobulb on the grandfather clock to reveal an amethyst.
The phonograph will play the same song that the Poltergeist plays on the piano in the Library during Quiet Please!.
