:It's a bit of a misnomer that came from me not fully understanding the context after coming across the information, but essentially, in the Mario Kart Tour subreddit Discord, dataminers apparently found a new means of finding tour info (seemingly tied to whenever teasers are posted, but I'm not sure, because one noted files get prepared either on the Thursday or Monday before a new tour starts). They're not disclosing the exact methods they use, or even really publicizing the fact they can do this, but they were teasing things they found in advance, like Bone Piranha Plants and pinballs - but they also found a lack of data for the T and R/T variants of Bowser's Castle 4, with no course thumbnails or anything. Apparently, unless a full app update rolls out before next tour begins, it's exceedingly unlikely that the variants in question will debut, as the tour content was found on Thursday and they've never added additional data after the fact on Monday, from what I gathered. I probably shouldn't have added in the information to begin with, but now that it's out there, it might as well stay in their books.

MKT stuff[edit]

Hello, would it be okay if I added the stuff that you mentioned on MKT's talk page onto the List of Mario Kart Tour pre-release and unused content page myself? Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 05:15, July 6, 2022 (EDT)

Go ahead! Just the current source is outdated, with several tracks included that don't seem to be happening (like N64 Moo Moo Farm), several that have been added, and several that were datamined later, but I think the same Twitter account has kept up with all announced datamines - it might be a hassle to find all the references, though. It might also be worth adding DS Mario Circuit to the list, as its Fire Piranha Plants were datamined in the new update and those have only appeared elsewhere as background elements in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX and its VR version (and it's unlikely we'll see those games represented in Tour). The track itself wasn't referenced in the filename, though, so it could be for a new city or something...thought it was worth mentioning, at least. But yeah - go ahead! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Course Pass - Wii Mushroom Gorge[edit]

I just removed an edit from the page regarding changed music because I found it's exactly identical. You just undid my edit (without any remarks) and added a bit about there being acoustic guitar. Could you point to where the acoustic guitar is or where you heard it? Because the version I'm hearing from the brief gameplay clip (with tons of sound effects) uploaded by GameXplain doesn't sound at all different from Mario Kart Wii's version.

GBA BC4[edit]

Where did you hear that internal data suggests that there won’t be T and R/T variants for BC4? If it does suggest that, then it’s very sus that that ostensibly surfaced after the course’s announcement.

It's a bit of a misnomer that came from me not fully understanding the context after coming across the information, but essentially, in the Mario Kart Tour subreddit Discord, dataminers apparently found a new means of finding tour info (seemingly tied to whenever teasers are posted, but I'm not sure, because one noted files get prepared either on the Thursday or Monday before a new tour starts).
