Nintendo Power issue 4 is the fourth volume of Nintendo Power, released in January/February, 1989.
Page 93 contains an advertisement for How to Win at Super Mario Bros. (misspelled as How To Win At Super Mario Bros.). Super Mario Bros. 2 appears in a list of games released for Nintendo PlayChoice-10, as well as Super Mario Bros. 3 for the spring of 1989.
On the 95th page, Karch Kiraly says that he's good in Super Mario Bros. He also says that "everybody on the team would get together and challenge each other" in Golf, among other games. It is also stated that he has recently added Super Mario Bros. 2 in his Nintendo library. The next section on this page advertises "citrus fruit flavored Super Mario Bros." Nintendo Cereal System.
In the section Video Spotlight, Brett Borders writes that he's going to get Super Mario Bros. 2 on page 100. On the next page, James McKenna mentions Super Mario Bros. in the list of completed games. Daniel "Megatron" Lillie is said to have also completed Super Mario Bros. Jose Carlos Quinones writes that he's completed Super Mario Bros. with a score of 9,999,950 in four days, Super Mario Bros. 2 in one day, as well as "finding two different Warp Zones".
Page 108 shows a copy of Super Mario Bros. 3.
