He claims to be the "Famous Gil Board" and claims Mario knows him, although ''Super Mario Galaxy'' seems to be his first and only appearance, although he could have appeared in [[Super Mario 64]] as one of the many signposts in the game (or perhaps he is every signpost in the game). He is presumably related to [[Bill Board]], [[Phil Board]], and [[Jill Board]].
