Should this have its own article? Goombas have worn many things for protection, but wearing a pumpkin head doesn't make one a new species. Its like saying that Mario is another character when he doesn't wear his overalls. And I'm pretty sure Nintendo didn't give it an official name since it wasn't meant to be a new enemy altogether. If you will remember, there were also Goombas with helmets that can be killed almost the same way. I'm sure they wear pumpkins just to give to level a spooky feel. 21:36, 13 December 2007 (EST)

going by that argument, there shouldn't be a Spiked Goomba page because thats essentially a Goomba with hat and a spike and not an entirely new species
:Only problem with that argument is that Spiked Goombas have never been shown to lose their spikes and normal Goombas do not seem to be able to "put them on" based on current info. 00:44, 16 January 2008 (EST)
And Gloomba? Why it has it own article? All enimies that has different tattles in the Paper Mario games get it own article. The same thing for Spiked Goomba. But that's not the case here. And Stumpers, Paragoombas lose they wings... should they be merged with Goomba then? Spiked goombas can't be defeated by jumping on their head, Pumpkin Heads neither. So it has some difference.
:Unlike Pumpkin Head, Gloomba have an official names and are obliviously a different species rather than being a normal Goomba with something on it's head. Same thing for Spiked Goomba, 'cept for the species part.

Goombas are Pumpkin Head right? But why the are they in the new enemies section. The pumpkin isn't the one acttacking you. Only the goombas. (I sorry if confusing ya'll.) Princess Butterfly 14:05, 24 November 2007 (EST)

I'm sure they wear pumpkins just to give to level a spooky feel.Knife (talk) 21:36, 13 December 2007 (EST)

going by that argument, there shouldn't be a Spiked Goomba page because thats essentially a Goomba with hat and a spike and not an entirely new species

Only problem with that argument is that Spiked Goombas have never been shown to lose their spikes and normal Goombas do not seem to be able to "put them on" based on current info. Stumpers!

Shrooby GreenDance.gif I don' think they should be merged.

Unlike Pumpkin Head, Gloomba have an official names and are obliviously a different species rather than being a normal Goomba with something on it's head. Same thing for Spiked Goomba, 'cept for the species part. Blitzwing (talk · gnome work)
