Could this Toad be [[Prof. Kinopio]] from ''[[Paper Mario: Color Splash]]''? Both are yellow-capped Toads that study archaeology and are referred to as professors. I wouldn't doubt that these are the same character, especially with how much ''The Origami King'' is inspired by ''Color Splash''. I suggest we wait for the game to come out to decide for sure, but the similarity should be at least noted. {{User:Scrooge200/sig}} 16:56, June 12, 2020 (EDT)

Similarity[edit]

Could this Toad be Prof. Kinopio from Paper Mario: Color Splash? Both are yellow-capped Toads that study archaeology and are referred to as professors. I wouldn't doubt that these are the same character, especially with how much The Origami King is inspired by Color Splash. I suggest we wait for the game to come out to decide for sure, but the similarity should be at least noted. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 16:56, June 12, 2020 (EDT)

He is a yellow Toad, and the pet Chain Chomp that appears in the trailer may be his. However, I'm guessing someone at NoA took the criticism at "Bob-omb" being a generic name for a partner to heart, because the Japanese trailer refers to him and Professor Toad as Bomuhei and Kinopio. We may be looking at another Captain/Blue Toad scenario. Either way, agreed to wait until the final game is out. LinkTheLefty (talk) 20:01, June 12, 2020 (EDT)
