'''King Dedede''' is the self-proclaimed king of [[Dream Land]], a rival and frequent antagonist of [[Kirby]]. He was meant to be playable in the original ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'', but was left due to time constraints. However, Dedede will be a new playable character in the upcoming ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'', acting as a large and heavy character, like [[Bowser]] and [[Donkey Kong]]. He has been confirmed to be using his [[Hammer (Kirby)|Hammer]], even holding the Hammer around with him for the entire match. He has also been seen riding around on a throne being moved by four [[Waddle Dee]]s, which may be his battle entrance. King Dedede will be able to multi-jump, like [[Kirby]], [[Jigglypuff]], [[Pit]] and [[Meta Knight]].
