Variant of | Bandit |
A Badge Bandit is a purple-colored Bandit that is exclusive to the Pit of 100 Trials in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door along with its Nintendo Switch remake. Unlike other Bandits, they can steal Badges, as well as items and coins. Stolen badges can be recovered by using Ms. Mowz's Kiss Thief move, or by beating the Badge Bandit - the badge reappears on the screen to be picked up. If a Badge Bandit manages to run away with a badge, the battle must be refought to reclaim the badge. Mario can use a Volt Mushroom, a Boo's Sheet, or Vivian's Veil to temporarily safeguard his badges during the fight; the Zap Tap Badge, as with other Bandits, protects Mario's items from being stolen. He can also protect himself by guarding or superguarding the attacks of them. Shell Shield does not protect Mario's badges.
