Buried Stones is a course which appears in the Story Mode of Super Mario Maker 2. It is given to Mario by Yellow Toad, and is set in the underground theme and the Super Mario World style. Once this course is completed, Yellow Toad will craft an 8-bit Goomba statue.

Layout[edit]

The level begins with a single Warp Door, which Mario must enter. After a few ? Blocks and Rotating Blocks and some out-of-reach Stones, Mario must avoid some Thwomps and Munchers to reach a Warp Pipe spawning Yoshi's Eggs. Mario must then utilize a Yoshi to grab one of the Stones; once they reach a set of Note Blocks, Yoshi must spit out the Stone to reach the platform above, then swallow the Stone again from the other side to reach the Giant Gate.

Description[edit]

  • "We're fresh out of the Chief's precious Stones, so I ventured underground to find more. The thing is, they're too heavy for me to carry back to the surface! Will you bring me a Stone? I only need one!"
