'''Balloon Boos''' are large relatives to [[Big Boo|Big Boos]]. They are small, and act like normal Boos, but if looked at, they will start sucking in air.  The more air they suck in, the larger they get. If you turn your back to them, they will start to chase you, letting out the air they sucked in in the process, and thus decreasing in size again.

Balloon Boos[1] are enemies in New Super Mario Bros. They are Big Boos with pink cheeks, and their tails resemble balloon knots, akin to their name. They are encountered only in World 4-Ghost House, which contains five of them. They appear large at first, but when looked away from, they approach the player while expelling air and shrinking; otherwise, they stop and inflate by inhaling air at a rather slow rate, until they have assumed their massive appearance once more. Balloon Boos continue to chase Mario or Luigi even when they have reached their minimum size. Balloon Boos can be defeated with a Blue Shell or a Mega Mushroom.
