World 3-3 is the third level of World 3 in Super Mario Bros. and the eleventh level overall in said game.

Layout[edit]

The player starts on a stretch of land that ends at a platform the player needs to jump onto. On the second platform is a Little Goomba that may fall onto the player if they are not careful. After the second platform are two lifts that move horizontally, followed by platforms with Koopa Troopas and a ? Block containing a power-up. Afterward is a lift that will fall when the player jumps onto it that can help the player reach a higher path that ends at a scale, standing on one end of the scale will cause that end to fall and the other end to rise and both ends will fall after they reach a certain point. After the scale are three horizontally moving lifts followed by more platforms and a Koopa Paratroopa. Finally, there is a platform with two Koopa Troopas followed by a horizontally moving lift and a scale that can help the player reach the top of the flagpole.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe challenges[edit]

In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, the player can collect five Red Coins, find a hidden Yoshi Egg, and get a medal based on their score. The Yoshi Egg is found in a Hidden Block above the final platform with the two Koopa Troopas, and the score to beat is 23000 (21000 in the Japanese version[1]). The Red Coin locations are:

  • On the platform below the first horizontally moving lifts
  • On the lower path after the falling lift
  • Below the first scale. The player has to let the platform fall to reach the Red Coin
  • On the platform after the Koopa Paratroopa
  • On the final scale
