Every article about a recurring subject is divided like that. Appearances of a subject must be listed by game / other media it appears in, according to [[MarioWiki:Chronology]]. Also, we can't help reducing the size of the table of contents if a subject is as extensive as the Springboard.
In this article's case, I agree with you that each section looks short, but that is all we can say in general about the Springboard for each game appearance. Yeah, I was in the middle of changing the names after I moved it, thanks for taking care of the last few! By the way, you can link to categories by adding a colon before the name (<code><nowiki>[[:Category:MS-DOS Games]]</nowiki></code>), otherwise it accidentally categorises the page. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 03:55, 14 August 2018 (EDT)

Springboard article[edit]

(Bringing our conversation here from Toadette the Achiever's talk page.)

Every article about a recurring subject is divided like that. Appearances of a subject must be listed by game / other media it appears in, according to MarioWiki:Chronology. Also, we can't help reducing the size of the table of contents if a subject is as extensive as the Springboard.

In this article's case, I agree with you that each section looks short, but that is all we can say in general about the Springboard for each game appearance. Ideally, sections should contain every individual stance of the subject in a game, such as what levels it is found in and in what contexts. The Banzai Bill article is a good model to follow. -- -- KOOPA CON CARNE 16:56, 2 August 2018 (EDT)

Noted. I'll work to buff up each individual section with useful information rather than change the article completely. The article is plagiarized in some areas, so I'll fix that instead. rollerC (talk) 17:02, 2 August 2018 (EDT)
Uhh, I think that might be plagiarized from us.... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:07, 2 August 2018 (EDT)
...well, then...I don't exactly know what to do about that. In any case, I rewrote that section in our article. rollerC (talk) 17:09, 2 August 2018 (EDT)
The problem I see with the article is that it's a bit padded out, so I think the Springboard/Trampoline should only cover trampolines that look roughly like this:
A Trampoline, in Super Mario Maker.

I guess that's fair enough, but I'm not really sure why this different-looking mechanism:
Springboard from Super Mario Run
wouldn't also fall under Springboard. After all, the filename is quite literally "Springboard.png". rollerC (talk) 17:45, 2 August 2018 (EDT)
If you want a discussion in one place, try bringing it up on the Springboard talk page. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 08:22, 3 August 2018 (EDT)
I've started a message there already. rollerC (talk) 13:33, 3 August 2018 (EDT)

"conflagrative infant"[edit]

It's referring to the user Baby Luigi, who often goes under "Baby Luigi on fire." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:59, 2 August 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, I realized that too late. Sorry. rollerC (talk) 17:02, 2 August 2018 (EDT)

"List of Mario games released for the MS-DOS"[edit]

That's not how categories are supposed to be named. Look at the other games by system categories. It should just be "MS-DOS Games". Dark BonesSig.png 03:30, 14 August 2018 (EDT)

Alright, I'll change it. The proposal said "List of Mario games released for the MS-DOS", so that's what I was going off of. rollerC (talk) 03:33, 14 August 2018 (EDT)

MS-DOS[edit]

Yeah, I was in the middle of changing the names after I moved it, thanks for taking care of the last few! By the way, you can link to categories by adding a colon before the name ([[:Category:MS-DOS Games]]), otherwise it accidentally categorises the page.
