The front of a Carnival Card

Carnival Cards are cards that are used as currency in the Fun Bazaar in Mario Party 8. The player can earn them by completing minigames, finishing Star Battle Arena, playing in Party Mode, or doing anything that is curricular in Mario Party 8.

After completing Star Battle Arena, the player wins 200 Carnival Cards. In Party Mode, the player wins double the number of Carnival Cards as the turn number they chose at the start (for example, a 50-turn game results in 100 Carnival Cards). In Duel Battle, the player wins 20 Carnival Cards after one is completed. When playing other modes, the player wins only one Carnival Card per minigame played. In Test for the Best, the player wins 10 Carnival Cards from the minigames. A score of 6,000–7,499 points leads to 10 extra Carnival Cards, and a score of at least 7,500 points equals 20 extra Carnival Cards.

Carnival Cards appear only in Mario Party 8; however, Mario Party Points from later games work in a similar fashion.
