First appearance Yoshi's Story (1997)

Peepers,[1] also called Peeps,[2] are bird enemies that appear in Yoshi's Story. They are mostly found at the highest parts of levels. They appear in The Tall Tower and Frustration. A Yoshi can jump onto Peepers to send them off the screen. If a Yoshi eats a Peeper, it will give him an egg instead of healing him. When a Peeper is shot down, a puff of smoke appears, and the Peeper loses its feathers and falls away. If a Yoshi eats a Peeper when it loses its feathers, it will heal him back to full health. In addition, Inviso summons Peepers during his boss battle.

Peepers' artwork can be used as a stamp in Mario Artist: Paint Studio.
