The Standard MR is Mario's standard kart in Mario Kart DS. It features a red frame to match Mario’s shirt as well the "M" emblem on his cap, unless the player changes the emblem. Its stats are average all-around, with all of its stats staying in the same range. Its highest stat is its acceleration, while its lowest stat is its handling (tied the Standard WL). Additionally, its speed is tied with the Standard DS, and its drift is tied with the Standard WL.
