They attack by spitting rocks at the fighters. They also appear during Versus Mode hidden in carrier items along with [[ReDead]]s, [[Goomba]]s, and other creatures found in Adventure Mode, although this occurrence is rare. Octoroks return as enemies in the Smash Run mode of ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS]]''. They take their appearance from ''[[zeldawiki:The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword|The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword]]'' and attack by spitting rocks at the fighters. While hiding in the ground they cannot be damaged using any attacks, though they can still be grabbed and thrown.
