And it doesn't have to only be labelled with Play Nintendo: you could apply descriptions and categories for other media where the image is used for. Such as Club Nintendo I believe.

:Yeah, I never wanted that sort of gallery coverage on the article. I think all the 2D icons can stay, since it's difficult to attribute them as a group to anywhere else specifically. But this does not translate to website entities promoting the game itself. Artwork made for ''Super Mario Maker'', ''Mario Party 10'' was indeed used on the website, but it doesn't mean that it should be attributed to Play Nintendo as an artwork. Sorry for the confusion.

Does anyone have an idea on when the Play Nintendo website was created?

I just don't understand why the SVG artworks should be here. Yoshi noir.svg 19:34, 24 July 2016 (EDT)

I understand that your SVGs aren't strictly for Play Nintendo, but they are Play Nintendo-related, and that is why they are linked and categorized as such. We can always have pages that use the same artwork as Play Nintendo link to the SVGs and add more categories later, if needed. Take a gander at File:MKDDMushroom.png for a non-SVG example. This artwork is used both for Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart DS. It would be more efficient to link them to two different games and their associated pages. If it makes you feel any better, I think you said they are also used on Club Nintendo. If that is true, we link your SVGs there too. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 19:44, 24 July 2016 (EDT)
So the artworks that they use should be linked and categorized Play Nintendo. Yoshi noir.svg 19:55, 24 July 2016 (EDT)
They can be categorized in more than one way. It's not strictly Play Nintendo. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 19:58, 24 July 2016 (EDT)
Yeah, we understand that the artwork has been used for other Nintendo media, as well as Play Nintendo. They can therefore be attributed to at least one image category Category:Play Nintendo Images. We aren't saying that that the artwork was created exclusively for Play Nintendo. But it was used for Play Nintendo. it does have a place here on the article. And it doesn't have to only be labelled with Play Nintendo: you could apply descriptions and categories for other media where the image is used for. Such as Club Nintendo I believe.

I'm not sure if I like having such a hodge-podge of a gallery here. Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 13:49, 7 October 2016 (EDT)

Yeah, I never wanted that sort of gallery coverage on the article. I think all the 2D icons can stay, since it's difficult to attribute them as a group to anywhere else specifically. But I'd like to reword what I said above, because someone took it too literally. Artwork can be reused from game-to-game, such as character renders. Unless it's a direct port using most of the same assets anyway (see Gallery:Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D), they belong on both game galleries, because the artwork was used to promote both medias. But this does not translate to website entities promoting the game itself. Artwork made for Super Mario Maker, Mario Party 10 was indeed used on the website, but it doesn't mean that it should be attributed to Play Nintendo as an artwork. Sorry for the confusion.

Yup, it looks better that way. Thanks! Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 19:12, 7 October 2016 (EDT)

Unfinished work[edit]

This page needs all play Nintendo Mario related software on it. Games, puzzles, quizzes, polls, personality quizzes. Lord Falafel (talk) 13:55, June 15, 2019 (EDT)

I was the one who added the links to the navigation box. On the main article, someone removed the links to them I added and said we don't need articles on them, but left the links in the navbox. I think a proposal would work best in resolving this issue. (Also, you can always create the articles yourself.) --DeepFriedCabbage 22:58, June 15, 2019 (EDT)
