Ok, so who keeps readding the part where it says it "laughs" in SMW2YI, when referring to the noise that it makes when it flies away? My point is that it is speculative on what that noise could be, could just be a random noise to indicate that. I know the SNES had limited technology, but it also did that noise on the tulip. It, also, is completely discarded in Yoshi's New Island. So, it's subjective on what that noise is supposed to be. --{{User:FanOfYoshi/sig}} 15:59, June 5, 2021 (EDT)

Species[edit]

they are in shy guy species right?

Yes. They are a sub-species of Shy Guys. -- Son of Suns

Just asking... does anyone know if those propellers are really part of their body? I always thought it was part of their suit. Maxlover2

No one knows (I think). They are just attached to them somehow, somewhere. -- Son of Suns

Sorry if that belonged on the forum, but that is somewhat interesting. should we add it? Maxlover2 Confused. again.

No. Not significant enough. -- Son of Suns

OK. sorryfor wasting your time. Maxlover2 yay! I'm not confused!

SSBB[edit]

Why does the article not mention anything about brawl?F gLarrynana.gif

They're not in brawl they're in ssb4 for 3ds and wii u--Redgyarados (talk) 11:00, 28 April 2015 (EDT)

Physics-ish stuff[edit]

If the propellor is bolted to their head or something, wouldn't Fly Guy spin around with the propellor? Or is he too fat? Anyway, that would still look hilarious. ("Hei-HWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!") Big-bang 18:46, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Actually if he keeps his propellor brain stem.. thing, at a angle, he shouldnt spin around. And since the propellor is on a screw, I dont think that the fly guys would spin around unless the force of the propellor is really strong. TrippleAceFlyGuy 9:00, 13 August 2009

On the main picture are those Whirly Fly Guys?[edit]

They look like them. SuperPaperFan

No. Wirly Guys are the flashing Fly Guys from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Those are standard Fly Guys. Sprite of Yoshi's stock icon from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tails777 Talk to me!Sprite of Daisy's stock icon from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

One game is missing![edit]

The Fly Guy Grab minigame in Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move has 4 different types of Fly Guys (which are worth different amounts of points). Shouldn't this be added to this page? Agentdave7 (talk)

Be bold, add it then! :)

Fly Guy (character)[edit]

Shouldn't the fly gut in Mario Power Tennis, Mario Hoops on Hoops 3 etc? be Fly Guy (character)? I think that we should move that one to Fly Guy (Mario Party Advance) and have the character moved there. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 09:52, 26 May 2014 (EDT)

But there is no confirmation that it is one singular Fly Guy that reappears in both games. MarioComix (talk) 19:38, 26 May 2014 (EDT)

SMW2[edit]

Fly Guys make their first appearance in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In the game, they are used to carry items like Red Coins, 1-Ups, Coins, ? Clouds or even bombs. In some levels, they swoop down carrying a ? Cloud or a Red Coin, and if the item is not obtained in time, the Fly Guy floats back up and laughs mockingly. There are also flashing Fly Guys that fly around flashing like they are invincible, and if the player doesn't pop the balloon they hold, it turns into a Green Fly Guy and flies away while laughing mockingly.

Is this even true? I've never encountered those, and it sounds like a combination of Whirly Fly Guy and Mock Up. Binarystep (talk) 06:11, 10 April 2015 (EDT)
