Vanilla Secret 2 is a level in Super Mario World. The level is accessed by taking the secret path in the Vanilla Dome that leads to the mountaintop. Although it takes place in the sky, it is more of a flat ground level. If the player takes the Gray P Switch near the pit of Spinies and takes it back to the beginning part with the Koopa Paratroopas, they can get lots of extra lives. After this level is completed, Mario continues on to Vanilla Secret 3.

Layout[edit]

The level begins with Mario and some jumping Koopas. Soon after, the player should find a block containing Yoshi inside. Mario can use Yoshi to get of all the Koopas by spitting shells at them. There is also a nearby Green ! Block nearby, releasing a Cape Feather when hit. After more Koopas are some Jumping Piranha Plants, then a few Spinies. When Mario reaches the Jump Blocks, he can hit the third one to gain a Cape Feather. Here, there are Para-bombs, more Spinies, and a Lakitu. When the player reaches the area with many Spinies, they should hit the second Rotating Block to reveal a Gray P Switch. Pressing it will turn the Spinies into Gray Coins. Later, Mario can enter a Warp Pipe, taking him to an area where he can collect many coins by pressing the Switch Block. Soon after that, the player will reach the Giant Gate.

This level contains a cloud placed high up at the start of the level, accessible only by Caped Mario when he runs at the start of the level and jumps. This cloud contains coins and a Dragon Coin.
