Diddy's friend?

Krunch is a Kremling and member of the Kremling Krew, he is also a friend of Diddy Kong. Why does it says that he's Diddy's friend when he just went on the island to see if Diddy & co. were planning some sort of anti-kremlings plot?

A Kritter?

Would anyone mind if I put down he's species as Kritter? He seems to be one, being nigh identical in appearance to the Kritters in Donkey Kong 64, and the Kritter in the opening for the DS Version is a re-use of his model? Delsait (talk) 22:53, 10 February 2016 (EST)

Well, I admit they look similar to the Kritters from DK64, but Krunch (and the other Kremlings that looks like him from DKRDS) could be from another species of Kremlings not related to the Kritters. If you find any mention that Krunch and the Kremlings from DKRDS are in fact Kritters, then you'll be able to change this article to mention he's one. --Metalex123 (talk) 16:59, 11 February 2016 (EST)

Old, but while there is no known direct statement at the moment, the fact that both Krunch and the playable Kritter from the 2001 build of Diddy Kong Pilot share the early name "Krash" strongly suggests that Krunch has roots in the Kritter family, and is likely meant to be the same racer.
