Director's Notes (Paper Yoshi (talk)) Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the May Issue of Pipe Plaza!! As with last month, I have news for you, so let's not waste time! After a lot of thinking, and with all the problems I've been facing for a long time, I decided it was time to change. I clearly couldn't do this on my own anymore, so I started looking for crazy users who wanted to work alongside me. After considering the options we had, the staff and I finally chose the new Co-Director around last month's issue release. Although he's already part of the team, please welcome Yoshi876 (talk) as the new Pipe Plaza Co-Director!! He has done a great job both as Co-Manager of the 'Shroom Spotlight (along with GBAToad (talk)) and as Featured writer, so I'm certain he'll greatly help the Pipe Plaza team... ...starting right now! Featured Articles Two new articles have been featured in the past month. Mario vs. Donkey Kong was featured on May 11th. Mario Tennis Open was featured on May 13th. Re-Featured Articles No new articles have become refeatured. FA Nominations There are six ongoing Featured Article Nominations. Toad was nominated on March 20th. Blooper was nominated on April 4th. Vivian was nominated on April 8th. Super Mario 3D World was nominated on April 17th. White Mage was nominated on April 26th. Comet Observatory was nominated on May 3rd. Failed FA Nominations Five new articles have failed the featuring process. Baby Donkey Kong failed on April 19th. It failed because the article was bare, and without padding the opening paragraph would be too short. Gus failed on April 19th. It failed because it didn’t have enough images, game screenshots mainly, and it was also padded. Shadow Queen failed on April 22nd. It failed because a lot of the writing was awkwardly worded. Queen Bee failed on May 3rd. It failed because the article looked too short. Mario Party 7 failed on May 16th after being inactive for a month. Unfeatured Articles No new articles have become unfeatured. Unfeaturing Nominations There is one ongoing Unfeaturing Nomination. Culex was nominated on April 2nd. Failed Unfeaturing Nominations Two new articles have failed the unfeaturing process. Beldam failed on April 25th. Geno failed on April 27th after being inactive for a month. Tip of the Month (FunkyK38 (talk)) One of the most frustrating mistakes a new writer can make is writing a major article on a game, say, its story mode, then trying to submit it to the wiki only to see that their session has timed out. Trust me, I know how that feels. For an easier time, try typing your article in a word-processor first. That way, you'll get spelling proofread for you!
