Mount Beanpole, otherwise known as World 1-3, is the third course of World 1 in Super Mario 3D World and its Nintendo Switch port Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. The first part takes place on a mountainous grassy structure and the rest takes place in the sky with wooden bridges. It is unlocked by completing Chargin' Chuck Blockade and its own completion unlocks Plessie's Plunging Falls and Switch Scramble Circus. It is the first level in the game to not contain a Checkpoint Flag.
Mount Beanpole is replicated in Super Nintendo World.[1] In Japan, the location is referred to on the park's maps by its English name instead of its original Japanese name.
Layout[edit]
The level starts in an area with a pair of Sprixies, each with binoculars, sitting in trees. A bridge up ahead leads to a group of Piranha Plants, a POW Block, and a Hidden Block with a 1-Up Mushroom. Further ahead, there are more POW Blocks can be used to expose a Warp Pipe. Next is a series of clouds that leads the player to a wooden bridge; atop the hill to the left is a Cloud Cannon that leads to a Super Star, while the hill to the right contains a 1-Up Mushroom on a blue platform. At the end of another bridge is a Mega Piranha Plant that acts as a "boss"; defeating it reveals a Warp Box that brings the player to the Goal Pole.
Collectibles[edit]
Green Stars[edit]
- Green Star 1: At the very beginning, the player simply has to climb the top of the tree to the left of where the player starts to collect the Green Star.
- Green Star 2: Near the middle of the mountain, there is a pipe hidden behind some Brick Blocks that can be destroyed with a nearby POW Block. The pipe leads players to a room with a P Switch. When all Blue Coins from said P Switch are collected, a Green Star appears.
- Green Star 3: To get to the final Green Star, players must climb near the top of the mountain to find a Cloud Cannon. At the end of the Coin Heaven, the player finds the Green Star.
