I think it's the best option. Also, there is a an article called Cart and you see in the top of the Kart's page. Another option (and the last I've made) is adding a disambiguation page to the term "cart" as a name alluded in the Yoshi series and Mario Kart series. Last, the "Kart" name could be supported using a reference in the MK64 section, or talk about this as a trivia. Coincollector

Split Pipe Frame and/or Gold Standard from Kart
Settled TPP
green
Both these karts have kinda become separate from the traditional standard. The Pipe Frame may be an arguable one, but since it appeared in Mario Kart 7 with its own name and stat changes, its kinda split off seeing as it has its own unique stats. The Gold Standard on the other hand, even though it is a standard, it's more different as it's always a solid color and it features a more drastic stat change. Plus we don't have Gold Tires merged with the Standard tires or Gold Glider with Super Glider and the gold parts are just gold versions of those ones. What makes the Gold Standard so different?

Split both
#Tails777 I personally say split both, we can have a main article link for the Pipe Frame and keep some info, but move most of it to the new page.
#Baby Luigi Actually, I would prefer if this article got converted to a generic subject article and give the Standard Kart M or something their own articles. Other karts such as the Wild Wing are considered a "kart" as well so I don't know why this article refers to only the go-karts. I'd suggest keeping information from the first few games, to Mario Kart DS, then giving Standard Kart their own article. But yes, the Pipe Frame is its own body, separate from the typical karts and I don't even know why the Gold Standard is merged.
#Yoshi876 Per proposal.
#TVTrash Pipe Frame should have info about the pre-DD and 7 karts, and Gold Standard should also have its own page as well. Per BLOF.
#SuperYoshiBros Per proposal.
#Mario The Standard Kart is its own kart, just like the B-Dasher, so it should get its own article.

Endurance stat
Perhaps it would be a good idea to clarify what the "endurance" stat does in the early MK games. It's not found in any later games, and I can't figure out what it does... is it similar to "weight" or "off-road"? Ekolis (talk) 03:17, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

Should we upload a separate kart picture for Mario Kart Wii?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Superjustin (talk).

No, is not necessary. Also, if you say to get the oher vehicles used in wii, you'd say those seen in Mario Kart DS as well...

No problem. I finished checking the grammar. There were a few grammatical/spelling errors, but I fixed them. YosharioYoshi holding Mario's Cap artwork from Super Mario 64 DS.
Thanks again. However, some wordings still seem strange to me, like for example the very first sentence: "A Kart is a vehicle used in the Mario Kart series, which they (?) can come in various sizes and colors, generally regarding to (is an article missing here?) certain character's color." I'm not sure though if those are actually mistakes, just wanting to make sure we don't put a flawed article on the main page. Time Questions 16:34, 26 August 2009 (EDT)

Capital K in "Kart"?[edit]

Note: This discussion was moved here from the Kart FA nomination page.

Okay, thanks. On a different note, currently there are two different spellings of "kart" in the article: capitalized "Kart" and non-capitalized "kart". We should decide for one, but which? Time Q (talk)

I think "kart" because it's not a proper noun. Yoshario (talk)
I just checked several manuals, and in 64 the term is treated like a proper noun (i.e. it's capitalized). It's not capitalized in the manuals of the other games SMK (here it's even spelled "cart"), Double Dash, DS and Wii. Well, even though the "kart" spelling seems to prevail, one source shows that "Kart" is a proper noun in the Mario series, and thus it should be capitalized. That's just my opinion though. Time Q (talk)

Well, use the term "kart" (not capitalized) for all the page, excluding the summary and the MK64 section. This could be explained adding a footnote or a reference that the term receives a proper noun, and also adding that info about how karts were spelled in SMK, I think. Coincollector (talk)

I'm not sure if it's the best solution to use two different spellings in the article. Especially since I don't know if the term is spelled differently in the games themselves. Time Q (talk)

I think it's the best option. Also, there is a an article called Mine Cart and you see in the top of the Kart's page. Another option (and the last I've made) is adding a disambiguation page to the term "cart" as a name alluded in the Yoshi series and Mario Kart series.
