what is the name for that unbreakable block that looks like a wooden block with an "X" pattern on it. i know it appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Paper Mario. (it isn't an X pattern, but the lighting makes it look like it.) if you want an example they make the "stair case" by the flagpole. Terminology[edit]
Block would be a good term to discuss, or add to the glosarry, not simply redirect to ? Block. -- Son of Suns
It is the most common type of Block. A page on Block (disambiguation) is being created.Knife (talk)
I also don't think using this as a redirect is a good idea. This should explain the term in general and list all the different blocks, also those not from SM. In the Wario Land series are different types of blocks as well for example. Blooper 15:24, 8 September 2008 (EDT)
- I agree that an article about Blocks in general would be a good idea. But then again, how would one find the article ? Block, if not by typing in "Block"? 'cause typing "? Block" in the search field doesn't work (it takes the user to the main page). I also explained the problem here. Time Questions 05:48, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

another example is Yold ruins on our wiki. the picture of the article shows this block several times. 86.149.63.1 16:43, 3 April 2013 (EDT)
- That's literally just a block, just with different design. LB (talk • edits • forum) 16:46, 3 April 2013 (EDT)
