They are called "floating plates" in the guide in the quote on page 106 "It's easiest to cross the lava using the floating plates.". How weird... PikaSamus (talk)

In the Prima Guide, they are called Flimps. And it is called that because it is "Thwomp" and "Flip" mixed. yoshiyoshiyoshi (talk)
