Lakitu
One of the Lakitu Bros.

Lakitu Bros. are actually Fishin' Lakitu Brothers that are found in Super Mario 64 and then reappeared in Super Mario 64 DS. These characters have Cameras hooked with their fishing poles instead of items.

One of the Lakitu Bros. first appeared in the sky after Princess Peach's message to Mario. One Lakitu Brother starts to fly around Peach's Castle, then when the Lakitu goes close to the Warp Pipe after that scene, Mario pops out from the Warp Pipe as the adventure starts. When attempts to go to the entrance to Peach's Castle, another Lakitu appears from the sky. The Lakitu introduces to Mario as the two Lakitus that the player sees are actually the Lakitu Bros. One of the Lakitu Bros. mentioned that they are cameramen reporters and they attempt to film Mario and his adventure live as Mario attempts to get the Power Stars.

One of the Lakitu Bros. mentioned that they will record at a recommend angle but they also mentioned that the player can change the camera angle by using the C Buttons. The characters also mentioned that they can't adjust the view as the player can look at the surroundings by pressing Cā†‘ when Mario stops, then press A to resume playing the adventure and switch camera modes with the R button. Lastly, they mentioned about that there are signs that can tell the player these instructions. After the Lakitu Bros. tell the instructions of using the camera, one of the Lakitu Bros. leaves as the other Lakitu Bros. will continue to record Mario's adventure.

When Mario enters Whomp's Fortress for the first time, the Lakitu Bros. don't appear but talked in as they mentioned that there is a update on Mario's adventure as Mario enters Whomp's Fortress. They mentioned that Mario will attempt to learn a special move on sneaking up enemies; the trick of using the special move is by walking very slowly near to the enemy as the enemy stays unnoticed from Mario. The Lakitu Bros. also mentioned that they told to Mario earlier techniques about using the camera. Also, if the player can't move the camera farther, a buzzer sound is played. Lastly, the Lakitu Bros. leave by message.

The Lakitu Bro. stays with Mario throughout his adventure, and can be seen in the big mirror in the room that leads to Snowman's Land.
