Funky Stadium is a new Battle Course that only appears in Mario Kart Wii. The course, resembling a skateboarding course, features many slope pads, allowing players to perform tricks and get Item Boxes. The battle course has a Funky Kong theme, hence the name. At the start of the battle, everyone starts in the corners of the map in groups of three, and make an entrance into the stadium from ramps. This map can also be considered the largest battle map in the game. The stadium also has a 2nd Tournament for January 2009 and January 2011 where drivers must collect 60 coins throughout the entire stadium.
