Template:Infobox Mario Teaches Typing is a edutainment game published by Nintendo. It is a game that teaches the player how to type, via the use of Mario series elements. It is one of the few Mario games on the PC. A sequel, Mario Teaches Typing 2, was also made.

The player must type in sequence of what is displayed on the computer's screen; when the player types correctly, he or she enables the game's story to advance. By typing the letters or words displayed, the player allows a wide variety of actions to be performed such a stomping a Goomba.

The game also features an alternate game mode, where the player will type a letter that is a symbol for a word.
