Metroid is a microgame made by Yoshio Sakamoto with WarioWare: D.I.Y. for download in the category Big Name Games. It is available in Japan since April 29, 2009, in America since March 29, 2010, and in Europe since May 7, 2010. Unlike most Big Name Games, it is not known to be taken off in the future.
Gameplay
The microgame is based on the Metroid series, which was co-created by Sakamoto. The player's task is to destroy the two Metroids that are floating around on the screen. When the player taps a Metroid, it becomes frozen and is subsequently destroyed by a missile shot by Samus Aran. When both Metroids are eliminated, the player wins and Samus pops up, facing the player. In most cases she wears her Power Suit, but there is also a lower chance that Zero Suit Samus appears.
