Pratfalls are a new feature in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. When a character pratfalls, he/she will fall over and be temporarily immobilized. This can create chances for opponents to attack the player. Pratfalling can be caused by sudden movements, such as running, changing direction, or falling on ice. Running on a Banana Peel will create the same effect.
Additionally, one of Tingle's abilities is to cause players to pratfall.
