The Oho Jees are sometimes very stupid in battle. They may run away and (if the running fails) come back saying "I no believe!" - “You call me Oho Jee. But I no know why.”
- —Oho Jee, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
The Oho Jee are natives that live on a small island in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. There are two varieties on the main island: Red Oho Jee, that are healed by Firebrand and critically hurt by Thunderhand, and Blue Oho Jee, who are healed by Thunderhand and hurt by Firebrand.

The Oho Jees are sometimes very stupid in battle. They may run away and (if the running fails) come back saying "I no believe!" (a reference to their species' name) or hum a song, which slightly heals the brothers. Also, if they are healed too much, they will blow up and the battle will end. After defeat they will lay on the ground seemingly dead only to jump back up and say they were just kidding and that they're fine.
Two smaller islands south of Oho Oasis house a Green Oho Jee and a Purple Oho Jee, both of which sport afros. According to a boombox at the west part of Oho Oasis by a Beanish scientist, one of the scientists was attacked by an Oho Jee, and was then transformed into one. However, Mario and Luigi do not get transformed when attacked.
Trivia
- The name of the species, the Oho Jees, is inspired by the phrase "Oh jeez". When pronounced singularly the word greatly resembles the phrase "Oh gee", a phrase signifying slight surprisement. The "Oho" part is a reference to the place they live, Oho Oasis.
