The one in the center is from Super Mario Bros. 3 while the four surrounding it are from Super Mario World.

Spiny Cheep-Cheeps are black Cheep-Cheeps with spikes running down their backs. They only appear in a few levels on Super Mario Bros. 3 but swim faster than normal Cheep-Cheeps. The spikes don't really make it more dangerous, since touching any enemy anywhere can harm Mario and Luigi.
