Template:Minigame-infobox Musical Mushroom is a 4-player mini-game that is found during the the events of the Nintendo 64 game, Mario Party. The name of this mini-game is a pun on a game called musical chairs.

Introduction

The mini-game takes place in a forest where a group of six small blue mushrooms occupy around the single large orange mushroom. There are four players that are equally on the circular path, staring at the floating Treasure Chest. Forest background can be heard, and then the mini-game starts.

Gameplay

The objective of the mini-game is to be the first player in the mini-game to reach for the treasure chest within the time limit of thirty seconds. The mini-game starts with four of the players walking around the group of blue mushrooms when the music plays. The music will continue to play until it abruptly stops.

During this event, players will have an opportunity to reach for the treasure chest through a variety of ways. Players can attack by punching, Hip Drop, or jump on their heads to stun and slow their movements down for a moment. Players can also use one of the blue mushrooms to reach for the treasure chest more easily, or simply run towards the center of the mushroom and reach for it. It's also possible to jump onto the red mushroom without using the blue platforms by executing a timed jump.

The player who reaches for the floating treasure chest will win the mini-game.

The mini-game can be purchased from the Mini-Game House for one-hundred fifty Coins when it is available for a purchase.
