| '''Drill Moles''' are mole enemies found in the [[Tree Zone]] of ''[[Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins]]''. To attack, the Drill Mole will burrow underground and pop up under [[Mario]]. However, Mario can swiftly [[jump]] before the Drill Mole pops up, thus landing a hit on its head. [[Fireball]]s can also be effective, but only when the Drill Mole has surfaced. Drill Moles are usually found in low-lying areas, such as pits or ditches. They are likely based off [[Monty Mole]]s, due to their similar appearance and attack pattern. Yellow metal drills that resemble these moles will appear in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]''.
